The Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, Hydro Tasmania, and the Allport Bequest believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience world-class orchestral music live.
AccessTix is a unique partnership originally developed between the TSO and Hydro Tasmania, and expanded through the participation of the Allport Bequest, that provides free concert tickets to Tasmanians who might otherwise miss out on that very special experience.
REGISTER YOUR ORGANISATION
If you think you, or someone you know, might be eligible for AccessTix tickets, or if you want more information about the program, please contact the TSO directly by emailing email@example.com or calling 1800 001 190.
WHAT IS ACCESSTIX?
AccessTix is a program that enables Tasmanians who are experiencing disadvantage to see their orchestra perform live in the concert hall – for free.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
The program is intended for Tasmanians who are experiencing disadvantage, where “disadvantage” includes things like physical and intellectual disability, economic disadvantage, social isolation and mental illness. AccessTix also provides tickets to support workers and carers who are accompanying an eligible individual. Group bookings are welcome. All bookings are subject to availability.
HOW DO I REGISTER MY ORGANISATION FOR ACCESSTIX?
To register your organisation for AccessTix, please email firstname.lastname@example.org providing a phone number, email address and postal address for a contact person within the organisation.
HOW DO I BOOK?
The TSO does NOT take AccessTix bookings directly from individuals. Instead, tickets must be requested by a government body or community organisation (e.g. Colony 47, the Red Cross etc) on behalf of a person (or group of people) experiencing disadvantage.
In order to request tickets on behalf of an individual experiencing disadvantage, please use the online request form.
The TSO Box Office will reply to confirm the order and provide an Order Number.
HOW DO I COLLECT MY TICKETS?
AccessTix tickets can be collected on the day of the concert from the venue by quoting the Order Number or the name of the organisation requesting the tickets.
The TSO Box Office is located adjacent to Federation Concert Hall in Hobart. For more information, or to inquire about ticket collection outside Hobart, please call the TSO Box Office on 1800 001 190.
CAN I TRANSFER OR CANCEL TICKETS?
AccessTix tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you can’t attend a concert you have AccessTix tickets for, it is important that you let the TSO Box Office know: otherwise, someone else might miss out. To cancel tickets, please call the TSO Box Office on 1800 001 190.
IS ACCESSTIX A TASMANIA-WIDE PROGRAM?
AccessTix is a statewide program, meaning that free tickets are available to most TSO concerts including concerts in Hobart, Launceston and regional towns.
WHO SUPPORTS ACCESSTIX?
AccessTix is a unique joint initiative originally developed by the TSO and Hydro Tasmania, and expanded through the participation of the Allport Bequest. The program is made possible thanks to the generous support of Hydro Tasmania and the Allport Bequest.
