WORKSHOPS FOR TEACHERS

PROFESSIONAL LEARNING

TSO presents Professional Learning Workshops for Teachers of  Primary Music

TSO Education Resources Workshops introduce teachers to a number of new resources, with a focus on orchestral music, that have been developed under the auspices of the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra Education Program. Practising Tasmanian teachers were commissioned to write resources for their colleagues, both within the state and further afield.  The free resources are concept-based and explore musical ideas through age-appropriate activities in singing, playing, moving, listening, commenting and creating, and align with the Music National Curriculum.

The resources are designed around repertoire found in TSO Education concerts. Attendance at the concerts is not necessary to use the resources.

These workshops promote teacher development against AITSL standards 2.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, 4.1, 4.2, 5.1 and 5.2.
Teachers attending workshops will receive documentation.
